Dear Friends and Neighbors,

I have regretfully decided to withdraw my name for Needham School Committee on the April 8, 2008 election ballot.

I began a new job two months ago, and my family and I are still adjusting to the changes in our schedules and additional obligations. Despite my interest in serving on the School Committee, I have realized that I am unable to run an effective campaign against incumbent candidates at this time.

My commitment to Needham Public Schools remains strong. I will continue to be involved with the school system as the Hillside PTC Secretary, an active member of Citizens for Needham Schools, and as a regular attendee at School Committee meetings.

I wish much success to Michael Greis and John O’Leary, who are now running unopposed for School Committee, as they meet the numerous challenges facing Needham Public Schools in the coming year.
